This week in Transitions we celebrated Catholic School's week. We had so much fun! We danced in the dance-a-thon, got to build for kids, went to the wax museum, and we cheered for the kids vs. teachers volleyball game! (see attached file) In math we started to reinforce numbers 1-10  by tracing them, coloring them, counting them and playing games using them. We celebrated Groundhogs Day with a snack after watching if the groundhog saw his shadow or not. In Science, we focused on Volcanoes. We made our own and watched them erupt, we painted our own volcanoes, and we baked ..volcanoes out of chocolate cake, ice cream and chocolate syrup (lava). We read Pete the Cat in Valentine's Day is cool. Then, we followed up by writing all about each other and how each of us in the class is cool. This involved the students having a discussion with each other to find out what made them each special. Next week, we will be focusing on higher numbers in math, our phone numbers, and our letter of the week is Q.
