This week in Transitions....Halloween! Our letter this week was H we reviewed the sound, traced and wrote the letter H. In math this week I introduced the numbers and number words 6-10. We continued to reinforce our numbers in our integrated technology class and by playing a lot of number games. (see attached file.) We had a lot of fun on our nature scavenger hunt, collecting leaves, sticks and small rocks. When we completed our scavenger hunt we went inside and created our own collages. For our Halloween fun this week we made puffy ghost with shaving cream and glue. We also made skeletons that we had to cut out and glue on to construction paper...we also sang dem bones dem bones them dry bones....In science this week we studied all about spiders of course! We labeled them in our science journal, wrote the word, drew our own , made our own and finally we played "don't get caught by the spider!" (see attached) Finally, we had lots of fun celebrating Halloween in the classroom and walking in our school wide parade!
