This week in Transitions our letter of the week was B. We studied Bats in Science. We labeled parts of a bat in our science journals. We cut out and glued our bat parts and then we transferred all the information about bats that we learned on to a bat facts sheet. We read Stellaluna, watched informative facts about fruit bats, and finally we ate like a fruit bat by making  our own fruit salad! Yum! In math we continue to reinforce the numbers 0-5 this week. We played a lot of games while writing down the numbers and the words. We also used technology to interact with numbers. We read Pete the Cat Rock on Mom and Dad, then students worked on a card to tell you that you ROCK! We started our unit on community and community helpers. This was put it into action when we all dressed in pink for breast cancer awareness. We talked about how important it was to come together as a community here at  St.Leo's. Next week will be an exciting week with Halloween in the air! Don't forget to check out all the pictures of this past week in the attached file.
