Math Patterns, Letter I, Symbols of America, and Planets

posted Mar 12, 2016, 7:23 AM by Alexandra Arcuri
This week in Transitions we continued working on AB, and ABC patterns in math.  We reinforced numbers by playing a roll, count, and write game. The letter of the week was I. Our I craft was ice cream. We had fun using our hands and fingers to create an ice cream cone with a cherry on top! We completed our unit on Symbols of America in Social Studies this past week. We discussed each symbol and then created a book which made us practice our skills of coloring, cutting, and gluing. In science, we learned about the sun, moon, and stars. We also started discussing  the planets. This week we learned about our planet Earth. We had fun cooking this week twice! Making star and Earth cookies. (See attached) Next week our letter of the week is R.
