Math Shapes, Letter A, Science, Religion and Specials!

This week in Transitions we got creative with shapes in math... We played matching shape card games, we had to figure out classifications with shapes, we created shape robots and finally we got dirty with paint and stamped out shapes! In science we used our letter of the week to talk a lot about apples. "A" is for Apples..we had a taste test...everyone was brave and tried red, yellow and green apples. We then created a math graph and had a visual to see the results. Red apples won by one vote! We wrote in our science journals for the first time. We labeled the parts of an apple, and traced the words red apple, green apple and yellow apple. On Friday we took everything we learned about apples and had fun making apple turnovers...yummy! In religion we practiced our prayers the Our Father, Hail Mary and the sign of the cross. We also got to meet our "special" teachers and take a tour of the school. Take a look at our pictures for the week!
