This week in Transitions…We started learning position words in Math. Left, Right, Up, Down, Inside, Outside, In front, and behind. We worked on the letter T which we used a lot this week! We learned about Turkeys too! Did you know it only takes 28 days before a baby turkey hatches? Baby turkeys are called Poults, Females are called Hens, and a Male turkey is called a Tom. Wild turkeys live in the woods and like to sit on branches of trees. We labeled a diagram of a turkey which we placed in our science journal, we created a turkey glyph, and we made large turkeys that are hanging in our classroom as decorations. We also got our first visit from our Reading Buddies. We had lots of fun listening to them read stories to us while we relaxed on our rug and mats.
