This week we learn about the letter W. We created and wrote words such as watermelon, whale, wind, water, and worms. We talked about ice in Science. We did a melting experiment with the ice. What would melt the ice the quickest? Sea Salt, Water, Sugar or letting the ice melt on its own? (Look at the attached document to learn our answer.) We also discuss that this is the season for sneezing and how we spread germs. We had a special visit from Nurse Kelly and she explained how easily it is to spread germs. She used glitter to help the students visualized it. We had our monthly visit from our Reading Buddies and had several books read to us. Finally, we had visit from the NED show. (Never give up, Encourage others, Do your best!) The children got to hear about the adventures of a character named Ned and how his life was about good and bad choices based on never giving up, encouraging others and doing his best. It was told to them with grand imagination, magic tricks and a fantastic yo-yo.
